Junior Olympics 2025

The Junior Olympics of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago dates back to 1981 and has grown into the largest single gathering of youth in the Metropolis, filled with family-friendly activities. We have been blessed to host this wonderful event since it first started. This year we hosted over 1300 athletes and their families and friends.

Koraes Elementary School provided the concessions this weekend, organizing and executing 4 concession stands that served a variety of items from souvlakia, cheeseburgers, frappe, pastisio, salads, yogurt parfaits and more! Staffed with volunteers, concession sales topped $50,000—with proceeds after expenses of over $37,000 dollars that will be donated directly back to the school. This incredible success would not have been possible without our AMAZING donors Nick’s BBQ, Nicky’s Gyros, Dalmares Produce, El Rancho, Olympia Foods, Mickey’s Gyros, Mr. Gyros, Pete’s Market, DisposAll Waste Services, and many Koraes Parents. We are so grateful for all of the help we receive.
